Greetings to you in the precious name of Jesus Christ who was born in this world to save the mankind to give a new life. We are all now preparing to celebrate Christmas, with our families, and friends and as a church with great pomp and splendor. Even here in India millions of dollars are spent on alcohol and in parties for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. But, the birth of Jesus was in a manger which was the home for the cattle to born and to live. The word of the Lord says "For there was no place for the Son of God to be born" Yet His birth was celebrated by the angels singing Glory to God in the highest and Peace on earth to every mankind"
God gave us the best gift His Son Jesus. He is the king of kings and lord of Lords, but why he needed to be born in the manger. I believe that being born in the lowest place is to understand the needs of the lowest people who live in this world. He understands the needs of every human being, when he was in the earth, and we also know His compassion towards the poor and needy, the sick and blind, the unwanted in the society like the prostitutes, and the outcast.
Jesus went to Samaria which is not the custom of the Jews people, but the word of the Lord says He needed to go to Samaria and meet the Samaritan woman. For her it is not a problem living with many men, for living in sin did not bother her. Jews or any priest do not have any communication with the Samaritan people as they are considered to be unclean. But Jesus as a Rabbi or a guru breaks all their laws and speaks and asks her for water, not perturbed or agitated by what people will think of him, with this kind of interaction. Even many famous and popular Christian people do not have the heart to reach these poor and needy people.
But, Jesus whom we serve is different because He came to serve and not to be served, Lk 4:18"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor
For this Christmas we are happy to help the poor and needy who cannot afford to celebrate Christmas or have a good meal. So we are praying and planning to help feed and distribute clothes to about one thousand children who are living in the streets and in the rural areas who do not even know the meaning of Christmas.
So please pray and give your best offering as your Best Christmas Present for these poor Children and let them know the Love of our Christ and the meaning of Christmas.
We love you and Praying for you, and let the Peace of God be with you and family. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you and God Bless You.
Yours in Christ Jesus
Roy & Kezia
